Our Communities
For years and years, our devoted club members have selflessly contributed thousands of hours to support communities, both near and far. Through their unwavering commitment, lives have been saved, and others have been significantly improved. Motivated by a deep sense of personal and spiritual duty to uplift the less privileged, our members passionately extend invitations to our friends, family, and partners. Together, we strive to do what is right for those who need us the most, particularly the children among us.
The "Corazon de Niños" program is a long-standing initiative established and consistently backed by our club. It holds a special significance as our most vital service. The program focuses on children born with heart conditions, known as cardiopathies. Our club collaborates with medical personnel partners in Mexico who conduct thorough evaluations of these children. The purpose of these evaluations is to assess the severity of their heart conditions, enabling the medical team to prioritize and plan surgical interventions. The ultimate goal is to save the lives of these children through timely and targeted medical care.
Notably, a substantial portion of our fundraising efforts is specifically allocated to support this noble cause. This underscores our club's unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children with cardiopathies. By dedicating significant resources to Corazon de Niños, we strive to ensure that these children receive the necessary medical interventions and care, emphasizing the importance of this program as a central focus of our philanthropic endeavors.
Brachial plexus surgery is a procedure performed to address issues or injuries related to the brachial plexus. The brachial plexus can be damaged due to trauma, tumors, inflammation, or other medical conditions. Common reasons for surgical intervention include repairing nerve injuries, removing tumors compressing the nerves, or reconstructing damaged nerves.
The specific type of surgical procedure would depend on the nature and extent of the brachial plexus injury or condition. Surgeons may use techniques such as nerve grafts, nerve transfers, or other reconstructive procedures to restore function and sensation to the affected arm and hand. Physical therapy and rehabilitation often follow these surgical interventions to optimize recovery and improve functionality.
It's wonderful to see the impactful work Camino Real Rotary Club has been doing to support the community in the Anapra area of Cd Juarez Chihuahua, Mexico. The commitment to providing assistance to young boys and girls who face daily challenges is truly commendable. Lourdes Contreras' initiative to establish a place for these children, and our club's subsequent involvement and dedication, highlights the positive impact that community-led projects can have.
Acquiring Casa Soles and making it a focal point of our attention reflects a long-term commitment to the well-being and success of these children. Offering comfortable accommodations and qualified staff further demonstrates the club's dedication to providing a supportive environment for these young individuals.
Our efforts not only address immediate needs such as food and shelter but also contribute to the overall development and future success of these children. It's inspiring to see community members come together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.
